Christchurch

Digital signage in Christchurch and Canterbury.

Canterbury work is mostly retail, hospitality and manufacturing, and a good share of it is a South Island site on a network run from Auckland or Wellington. That is a normal arrangement and it works, provided the support model is honest about travel.

What we do most here

Retail and hospitality

Menu boards and in-store screens, usually as part of a national network where Canterbury sites need the same standard as everywhere else.

Hospitality

Manufacturing and distribution

Production and safety boards across the Canterbury industrial areas, sized for the building rather than the drawing.

Manufacturing

Corporate and property

Reception walls, directories and room panels in the rebuilt central city stock.

Being honest about support in the South Island

We are Auckland based. Most faults on a properly monitored network are resolved remotely and quickly, and that is genuinely the majority. But if a display fails physically in Christchurch, an engineer is not ten minutes away, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

What we do instead is plan for it: spares held for the sites we manage, an accredited local contractor arrangement for hands-on work where it makes sense, and a response target for the region that we can actually meet. A supplier who quotes you a four-hour national response has not thought about the Southern Alps.

How we make a South Island site as reliable as an Auckland one

  • Monitoring on every player, so a fault is ours to chase rather than something a store manager reports next week
  • A spare display and player held for the site group, because a lead time is far more expensive than a spare
  • Players chosen for remote recovery, so most faults are fixed without anyone travelling
  • Wired network wherever the cabling is feasible — most intermittent faults we attend elsewhere are a wireless link in a building that changed
  • An accredited local contractor for hands-on work, named in your agreement
  • A regional response target we can actually meet, agreed before you sign rather than discovered during an outage

Questions people actually ask

Is support slower in the South Island?

On-site attendance is slower, and we set the regional target accordingly rather than publishing a single national figure. Remote resolution, which covers most faults, is the same wherever the screen is. We would rather you knew the difference before signing than discovered it during an outage.

Do you hold spare hardware for South Island sites?

For managed networks, yes, and it is part of how we size the service. Holding a spare display and player for a set of sites is far cheaper than the cost of a busy screen being dark for the length of a supplier lead time.

Tell us about the space. We will tell you what belongs in it.

A first conversation costs you nothing and usually takes twenty minutes. Bring a photo of the wall and a rough idea of what you want it to do.

  • A written specification you can price against anyone
  • The platform we would run, named before you sign
  • Hardware and content costed separately, so you can see both
  • No obligation, and no pressure to buy screens you do not need
